Good news for our woodland friends at Ferndown Forest Golf Club! Dorset Council is looking at some tree work to help with essential maintenance, ensuring our local environment and infrastructure stay in tip-top shape. It's all about careful management to keep things running smoothly right here in Ferndown.
Lopping of two limbs from a mature oak to enable machinery access to tower BM8 (SU 07098 02543, see yellow pin on attached plan). Reduction of a mature oak below the overhead line to maintain the compliance buffer from the conductors (SU 07088 02560, see yellow pin on attached plan). Removal of three young trees (hawthorn, oak, ash) to enable installation of scaffolding (SU 07070 02541, red area on attached plan). Removal of side branches of overhanging trees outside the TPO Area to enable installation of scaffolding (SU 07062 02545, green area on plan). Reduction by approximately 50% of boundary trees to enable installation of netting (SU 07054 02516, yellow area on plan).
